CLARE'S KITCHEN

If your home is in need of renovation, look no further than Richards Renovations.  If you want an honest, reliable, and dependable contractor, look no further than Richards Renovations.  If you want neat and fastidious workmanship, look no further than Richards Renovations.  Richard is PERFECTION AT BEST.  His “attention to detail” and “clean up” far surpasses any other contractor.  I appreciated the use of drop cloths upon entering the home and vacuuming the dust and debris prior to leaving the job site each day.

In 2019, Richards Renovations renovated three full size bathrooms in my 1930 Tudor home.  The upstairs bathroom was a complete gut job down to the studs and included the installation of a walk-in shower with molded bench seat.  The main floor bathroom consisted of a new toilet and vanity with fresh paint on the walls and ceiling to enhance the resurfaced x-large cast iron original tub with an arched tile entrance also resurfaced to maintain the integrity of the architecture throughout the home.  The basement bathroom, which I dubbed as the ugliest and worst bathroom ever seen, was magnificently redone with a new vanity, toilet, skim coated walls, paint refresh and new ceiling to enhance the existing steam shower.

In 2020, Richards Renovations completely gutted my 1960s UGLY kitchen.  Knocking out a wall and two doorways was a total game changer with the new design layout.  The square footage opened up and enlarged the space with wonderful site lines to the dining room, foyer, and upstairs stairwell.

Again, keeping with the integrity of the existing architecture of the home was a priority.  The new wood floor (and floor beam replacement in the basement), plaster ceiling, canned lights, upper and lower cabinets, quartz counter tops, “mother of pearl” back splash, under cabinet lights, working island with wide plank steamed walnut wood top with waterfall connected to the custom pedestal table was the finishing touch.  Saving and reinstalling the original “rope design plaster molding” to a new area in the kitchen looks as if it was part of the original 1930 design.

Back door vestibule (connected to the kitchen) repair consisted of removing dry wall, tile floor, and subfloor due to wet rot issues along with cranking up a window wall to correct foundation issues.  New dry wall, subfloor, LVF, and fresh paint completed this project.

As a fellow perfectionist, I STRONGLY recommend Richards Renovations for your renovation needs.
